I picked up this ol’ beast in Indianapolis yesterday.
It’s a 74 XLCH that’s had an e-start added to it.
It has these weird saw blades of some sort used in its customization on various places used for brackets and such besides just putting them on the trees under the head light to look like teeth.
My daughter named it Chompper. It fits.
It’s been sitting in a guys shed for a couple years. He put a battery in it Wednesday and it fired right up. So wife and I drove out to pick it up. Bought it on the cheap but it does need a few things. Mainly to get the front brake working. It also runs really rich so the carb will need some fiddling with.
He put new rings and pistons in a couple years ago but has only ridden it about 400 miles since.
The guy even threw in a six speed tranny for one of my softails. Real nice guy.
Funny thing happened,,, right after we unloaded it from the trailer I went to start it to bring it into the garage. It back fired and the Mikuni carb popped out of its place. 😂.
Just had to pop it back in and tighten the clamps up.
Hear it roar.
