Bikes are horses, you don’t cry next to your horse that quit. That would embarrass the horse… Choose to Ride. Supports splitting everywhere.

i had a "95 and a 2003. kinda bookends.
"95 had a lot of vibration in the bars running flat out-ish for any length of time.
2003 much smoother with counter balanced motor and refi
both cooler than just about anything out there.
the new ones idk. all chrome sucks. never rode the new framed bikes. the rear fender kinda sucks.
my best days are behind me anyway, i sold my 2003 bcz i had hard time pushing it around in the garage. turning it around to ride off wasnt going well.

The 2025 article mentioned something about deciding to go with the TC so HD would stop the vibration assault (< something like that) on their customers. The lack of vibes made it fun all day.

I see what you say about the 2025 rear fender. It makes the bike completely different, pulling it out of the '90s-'50s style into 2020s-1990s style. I'm likely fully wrong on where that fender was birthed... '80s, '90s, Aughts...

When the rumor mill started out on the Icon Fatboy it had my interest but then I saw it still had the mucho grande rear tire and goofy headlight I lost interest. I'd rather use the jack on a 1990 Gray Ghost.
Vibrations be damned.
Plus with my OCD the fingerprints on the tins would drive me insane.

I've really not cared for the Fatboy's after 2006. In 2007 they went to the wide back tire giving the rear fender a lot of field. Just not to my liking.
Every time I look at my 03 I think "Just Right" and when I ride it I get still get a grin. Yeah I have a faster more tech bike but there is something about that 2003 88 CI that just gets me. One of the smoothest bikes I've ever rode.

I rode it to work today and it's been calling me back out all day.

That’s right! I forgot about the stupid change to the wide rear tire. Exactly why in “06 I bought a new fxdc over the fat boy.

58 is one of the best looking HD’s imo.
I put the heritage Springer right up there.
Next would be the 1990 Fatboy.
Classic styles all around.
