He's had this bike forever.
He offered it to me in 1982 for 4K.
Sadly old age is upon him, time to sell.
There's a Norton, BSA, a Triumph Thruxton, in his collection also.
Cool guy, we had a lot of fun at Bike Shows.
Bummer. Old age, it's going to take us all, eventually.
It's a shame you didn't nab it up in 82. Good for him, though. 1982 $4k is only $13k value today. He did good to hang on to it. If he can get asking price.
Did I hear BSA?
I went to look at one a couple weeks ago. The FB pictures made it look better that what real life visual did.
Asking price was $4k. The guy took it in on a trade for some chopper stuff. He didn't really know anything about it.
It looked like someone had started to try and restore it halfassed it. It wouldn't stay running, bolts missing, chain guard broken, tank dented in several places, kicker would stay up even though you could tell someone had been in there by the oozing of gasket maker. It was a $2000 bike. I didn't even make an offer. I don't need another project right now.
