Looking it up...the shortest of tracks on the circuit.....MM unbeaten here something like 9 times running.   He's been back for a bit.  Blames his last crash on lack of focus.  One would venture at this time he's around 70-80%.  Maybe points for Marquez this week.........

Hmmm, Marquez tops FP1, but 12th in FP2....apparently due to some tire choice experiments.

The Espargaro brothers placed well in both initial practices, despite Pol throwing it down the road twice.

Looks like Oliveira/Quartararo/Rins are the ones to watch so far.

Hard to believe that Valentino Rossi is sitting in 21st position right now!

While watching FP1 I heard VR46 will be running Ducati next year. That will be 8 Ducs on the track.

Marini did a high speed jump off at turn 7.
I just can’t imagine the skill and quick thinking it takes to make that decision and then get up and throw your arms up in disgust before the dust even settles.

Morbidelli, Vinales, Mir, Rins, P. Espargaro, Petrucci.........and Rossi all in Q1.

Wow, Vinales "doing a Rossi" and starting from 21st on the grid!

Looks like Zarco is on fire, and equally so, Quartararo.

Miller is there on row two, as is Marquez but I wonder about his race-long stamina.

Of my League picks, Pol has the best position on row three, Rossi and Mir are down on row six, 16th and 17th respectively!

No one has Zarco or Quartarao as League picks, so we may see some low scores tomorrow.

Whatarush swapped out Mir do Zarco while Mir was out. I suspect Zarco to help his team this weekend.

With Morbedeli starting back in 18th team D-Fat needs Miller and Marquez to carry the load.

There was a lot of lady hands flinging up in anger in Q2 from some cruisers.
It looked like Quartararo caused Zarco to take a fall as he was on yet another flyer.

Some of the cruising was caused by riders not wanting to be the tow driver.
I suspect some new rules to come up on this eventually.

I've been very busy lately building a time machine to go back and pick a different lineup.

Not quite done yet.

Waiting on some parts from Grainger.

Expecting a difficult weekend for Team oldironnow.

A great race, and good to see the Marquez of old, a stunning display, almost matched by Oliveira's performance on the KTM.

Lots of jockeying for podium positions with great rides by Quartararo, Binder, Miller, A. Espargaro and Zarco, and especially Bagnaia who worked his way forward from way down the field.

The Petronas Yamaha team were probably not happy with 14th and 18th!

Just to clarify I switched Rins of Zarco before the Catalunya Round
