After watching MotoGP Sprint I switched over to MotoAmerica expecting to see the Baggers race but discovered that the only MotoAmerica series running was the inaugural Talent Cup.
It’s the first I remember hearing about it.
The Talent Cup is for ages 14-21 and they are all running Krämer APX-350 MA’s with KTM single cylinder 350cc making 50hp. It takes place of the Jr. cup.
This is a way for American young road racers to start their path to the Road to MotoGP.
At the end of the season up to five riders will have the opportunity to move up to the MotoGP Rookies Cup.
Theirs even girls riding in this series. There were also one Ausie and one Brit which confuses me a bit since this is setup for American youth.
I miss seeing the baggers flying around COTA, what’s more American than that, but it was cool to see two 14 year olds and a 16 year old winning on the COTA track.
