Motobacane

I always thought Motobecane made little pedal start mopeds before just producing bicycles but paging through the WWW I came across this cool looking 1947 350 prototype.



Interesting plug wire placement


It was a factory original single 175 cc

They started making motorcycles in 1922 producing reliable OHV singles until fading out in the 60’s.
Like their cars France didn’t export much.

Prototype looked good.
I imagine the market after ww2 was all small stuff
Like Peugeot and other mopeds .
