I was watching FP2 when Marc put it in the kitty litter. Both him and Mir was using the new Kalex chassis. It looked like the Honda is still just losing front without warning.
According to Marc the new chassis is an improvement but Honda still needs more work.

Damn!! The Crying Frenchmen in P12 and has to go through Q1 again.

Nice to see Petrucci back on the Duc even though he's down in 19th

I was watching FP1 and heard that they average 80 something crashes per weekend in France. In the last six years there has been 598 crashes. That’s almost 100 crashes per weekend.
That’s an expensive track to run at.

Le Sprint was intéressant.

Is this the first meeting for the Hond-aLex chassis?

The lines of 93 are différent.

Yes I believe both Repsol riders are on Kalex frames.

Miller was on top in FP’s but Bagnia takes pole again.
It looked like M. Marquez was going to take it but Bagnia wouldn’t have it taking pole by .060 (two blinks of an eye)over M. Marquez.

Bagnia
M. Marquez
Marini
Miller
Martin
Vinales
Bezzechi
A. Marquez
Zarco
Binder
A. Espargaro
Fernandez
Quartararo the weak link
Nakagami
Di Giannantonia

The Sprint;
Miller and Quartararo threw them on the floor.

Bagnia held it for awhile before Martin took him and hammered it on for an almost 2 second lead at the end.
Binder then took Bagnia to end in second.
Great battling between Marquez, Bagnia and Marini for 3rd with Bagnia finishing in third, Marini fourth and Marquez in fifth.

No major injuries in this one

Is it just me, or do any of y'all feel that was a damn good 1000th race ??

NOT processional.
NO catastrophes.
CLEAR weather.
NON-standard winner.

Most-attended GP ever ?
I thought those '50s-'60s Eastern Bloc GPs drew 300/400K.
But I musta thought wrong.

Thursday - 14,900
Friday - 58,894
Saturday - 88,319
Sunday - 116,692

The 'La Chapelle' turn has had a series of chapels:

There's an HD dealer right outside the track:

Yes, it was a fantastic race. The 116,692 spectators got their monies worth. Always good to see one of their own on the three steps.

The voice overs said that there was over 278,000 bodies attending. I thought, "how do they fit that many people". Now I see they were combining the four days attendance. Goofballs.

It happens here, too.
I’ve read the attendance totals from Laguna Seca and gotten to the fine print.
