Good read.  Good site really.

Sounds like they just ran into the same thing as the v twin problem.

You just can't get the hp needed to run with the inline and v 4s.

Would they have had better luck building a non-desmo? Smaller heads? Less width?

Did you see the photo showing how wide the bike is around the tank?

With that and the cylinder position, I get a sense for the complaint how riding position was compromised.
