I saw the news on Steve's FB page about the closing. Sad to see it go. I guess it was only a matter of time.

Ironically the same week CW shut the doors my friend and old CW member, Doughboy (AKA T-35 on here) was killed in a car accident on his way home from work. Poor guy never made it passed 36.
It was kinda like an ending of a chapter. I miss him and going to miss our rides in southern Missouri.

Ride in peace Doughboy.

Kinda shocking, as I thought he was a younger dude than most of us.

Yeah, He started out on CW when he was around 15 years old. He was into dirt bikes. He latter got a Ninja 500 when he went to college in Kentucky. Sold it before coming back home in Southern Illinois.
Later bought a 250 Ninjette then a FZ6 and later a Vstrom

He was kind of a punk at first talking smack about HD's and cruisers in general but grew out of it and became a decent dude and good friend.
He actually ended up buying a Sporty from me and road it for a year or so but it was too slow for him. His dirt bike skills served him well and he could ride the heck out of anything.

We used to get together quite a bit and take some spirited rides through the Ozarks. I'd lead him to the good roads and then let him take off. I couldn't keep up anymore.
A until a couple years ago when he got a Gas Gas 250 and started doing more dirt riding and getting into racing again so the rides started getting fewer. We did take a trip to Wheels through time before my health shot craps. He got a kick out of it all.

He's the young one.
