Thailand MotoGP 2022

Goes off in a few hours.

Just caught up with the Qs and watched Morning Warmup.

It's a Ducati Fest.

But... There's tire drama...
Several riders had to slink through Qualifying with only one proper rear tire. Many had burned through their allotments of Softs.

So the Grid is a bit unnatural.

Here's to one of the kids:

Moto2 showed Simon Crafar coming into good form. Decent annunciation. Timely comment.

Especially when Baeubier binned it right when the rain came...

Right when Crafar was saying one needs/needs/needs to turn off the red mist when the rain comes, don’t try to take handfuls of positions, and just survive for awhile. Let others find the limits and take themselves out.

…Bin….

But a thought to the idea that getting to the front instantly in case of a red flag could pay well? “It's a great piece of buffoonery if you pull it off….”

Kelly coming good in deranged conditions.

Time spent during the MotGP rain delay perusing the fans in the stands was fun. They were quite into the event.

Lots of paint swapping in this one. Made for an interesting, hard to predict race.

I don’t quite understand Bezzecci’s drop a position penalty. He got pushed out from Martin, ran wide to avoid a crashing on the wet paint strip and came back into his same position.

Quartararo has now finished the last three races without a point. Kind of a repeat on the end of 2020 where he came on like fire the first half of the season and then fizzled out after summer break.
Quartararo “No more breaks for you!”

I think Zarco could have taken Bagnia but he took the advice of management and didn’t take the risk.

Olivera is the fish of Motogp. Two wins in the rain. I wonder if he does a rain dance?

It was good to see The Handyman back at the GP. Just would of liked to see more of him during the race.

I wanted to capture that same image!

I believe it can be argued that Bezz used non-track to advance his position. He came back to the point well ahead of where he left the track. Martin ducked in after losing three places.

Zarco could have made a rough pass.

Reading the body language of the Ducati principals and the Pramac principals with each other, and also the Ducati principals with Miller and Zarco, everyone seemed super happy with the freebie hand up by Zarco et al.
The Pramac team actually looked a touch pissed.
