Looks like Scott Redding is coming to grips with that BMW.
He ran well at Donington.

The BMW sports a new swingarm.  I wonder if it's shorter. Could not find out.

Not sure if it's shorter or longer but bike setup and geometry changes confuse me. Wasn't it just recently that everyone wanted a longer swingarm for better stability out of corners and less tire wear? If they want a shorter one now I'd ask them to make up their damn minds! 😜
Indeed.
I can only guess that it would be shorter due to the overall longer length of the street version.

But.
Maybe they've been on a shorter version all this time, which led to all the tire drop issues.
