The pluses to this bike vs a FXR is better suspension, reliable and more horsepower, more torque and better brakes out of the box.
The Buell has 185 hp and 138 ft.lbs torque. I’m not sure you can get that out of an evo and if you can how much reliability will you have?
After buying a FXR and giving it all you can to match the performance of the Buell to the best of its ability you’re going to spend more than the Buell is going cost. Word is around $20k.
I’m not a fan of the whole club thing with the height T bars but new bars are an easy change. I typically change bars on every Harley I buy so this is pretty much the same.
Harley’s new trilogy to the FXRT is the same set up. High T bars.
I really like that bike but it’s $35k out the door and ugly colors. The cool red one is $40k plus. Crazy man. Just crazy.
It would be much cooler and meaningful to build my own FXR but I don’t have that kind of time.
If I started now it wouldn’t even be done by the time Buell’s FXR comes out in 2025, if it really does.
Now if I could find a nice FXR3 I might forget this whole Buell bike all together.
