Happy 2026 to you all.
I hope all your rides to be pothole free with the absence of the evel left handers and mindless texters.
May the sun continue to shine on your knuckles and the moon & stars glow brightly off your shiny bits.
Peace and health as well.

We’ve had a week of spring during Christmas then it dropped 52 degrees in a matter of hours.
Going to get another taste of spring next week and then drop again.
Crazy weather.

Ya, was nice for a few days.

I dunno.
I’m just kinda tired of it.
Winter that is.  Then 2 months of rain.
I’ve got all the hvac stuff caught up.
I’m a bit ahead.
If it was just me, I’d be heading down l95
like, yesterday.

Gonna shoot for doing something, a few weeks away,
Beginning February.  Come back after bike week.

Me and the Old Lady are plotting an early March escape.
Going to head south, to catch the Flat Trackers as they are headed to Daytona. We did a similar trip a few years back with Kirk and Lisa.
I'll be truly sick of winter by then.

I’m with you Grady. If I never have to crank the snow blower up again or see temps in the 30’s I’m alright with that.

That was a heck of a time. Great memories.
I’m looking forward to a ride report.
Would dig doing another ride south but my touring days are over until the docs make a ride along kidney, which they are working on.

Are you planning another fly and ride?

We are still trying to figure it out.
That track in Pooler Ga. closed and it seems that there is no racing in Barberville Fla. this year.
Donna isn't sure she if she wants to ride yet.
I enjoyed riding a rented dresser. I just need a destination. Daytona...?

Making a list…..making a case…..

Never watched a rocket or space shuttle launch.
Feb. 6 the biggest rocket on the planet is scheduled to make a trip around the moon.

Never been to Mel Fishers gold treasure museum.

Never been to the Salvador Dali museum.

Never been to the Keys.

Never been to a Daytona Supercross.

Never surf fished Florida.

Thanx.
Seems there's no shortage of things to do in Fla.
First week in March is our time to fly!

Well, the misses is under the weather.
That’s an unknown.
That’s something I don’t have control over.
We will see

When I went down in 2016 I did that by myself.
I mean, I saved all year, she kinda backed out and I wanted to see the 200 for a long time.

I think it cost about $2500 to spend a little over 2 weeks checking out the coast.  Jacksonville Beach to I believe Vero Beach I hit every every big one.  Stayed in cheap motels, slept in the back of the SUV, tried twice to sleep on the beach but believe me  that ain’t easy.

Thing is, by yourself, after week or so, I dunno.
With nobody to share the experience it can get a bit empty.
Like, after the towel is on the beach for 20 minutes it’s like, is this it?

I did notice some of the guys surf fishing.
A few lines in the water, 2 or 3 5 gallon buckets for I guess bait and a place to put the catch, people were constantly stopping and talking.
Things were happy, it was happening, it was beautiful all around.   Yeah. I don’t know the first thing about it. But I go down again, I’ll find out 😄

I'll travel with my Old Lady.
I remember we had a hard time finding the Flat Track races last time. There must be a schedule out there somewhere.
Daytona Short Track is available, there must be more racing somewhere.

I do believe the 200 is the last big thing of bike week.
From what I understand there is a lot of Vintage stuff the week before bike week.  I’ve heard there is a swap meet 2 weeks before that is really good.

The Supercross is early on in bike week.
They hold that in the infield of the Stadium.
At night.

I’ve heard it’s worth getting the kind of pit pass for the 200. It gets you right in the middle of stuff.
I did the infield, which is cool, but it’s all flat, you can’t see the whole track.
