^ That's funny.
I guess the closest match to Harley would be the Low-Rider S minus the hi-rise T bars and larger fairing, which the HD accessory catalog would be happy to help you with.
The Low Rider S has 5 more pounds of torque (120 @ 2900 RPM for the SC VS 125 @ 3500 RPM for LR).
LR has a 31.3 degree lean angle while the SC has 29.5 degrees.
They both have inverted forks. HD uses Showa. Indian is using KYB which is short for Kayaba. We Yanks couldn't pronounce Kayaba so in the 70's they just switched to KYB.
The Low Rider starts out at $18,199.00 + freight, prep yada yada, yada in Black or white.
The Sport Chief starts out at $18,999.00 in black, $19,499.00 in red or gray and there is an ICON option that gives the WOW factor paint schemes. You have to ask your local dealer for that kinda jack.
They're both air cooled pushrod motors hitting the the torque values that make me giggle.
As I sit here looking at them on the 'puter the HD is my choice. It has the bars and smaller fairing that I would prefer on a power cruiser plus I prefer HD's tear drop tanks over Indians tanks. If I was looking to by a power cruiser I would have to give them both a good look and test ride.
Since Indian came about I have wanted to like them but just haven't seen anything from them that makes me say wow! I need that.
