You know,, you could put an alloy tank on just about any bike and I would drool. Accept the Honda MB5. Nothing can make that bike look good.

.
You meet some of the best folks behind bars.

Here's a nice, later, Commando motor in a wideline featherbed frame.

Alloy gas tank,
Alloy triple yoke
Speedometer, Tacho and oil pressure gauge
Clip-on bars
Front fork gaiters
Chrome headlight shell
Rear-set footpegs
Alloy passenger footpeg brackets
Central oil tank (which I hate)
Swept back headers
Double-sided SLS front brake with air ducts
Alloy wheel rims
Alloy chain guard
Sport seat
Pea-shooter mufflers.

Got to thinking the other day.
How it might be fun to have 2 or 3 smallbore
125 cc cafe bikes laying around.  Bikes that a guy could get real cheap, save em from the scrapper, and build them with little expense.
Something to do when a friend or 2 shows up, that would be easy on the mind and body, and still be fun mixing it up on the twisted that abound around here.

How’s about a few 125cc cafe’s..........
