Re: Thoughts of selling out.

That’s nonsense
Guzzi makes a better bike than the EV7
For what  you want . So a good set of shocks and front end upgrades not to mention rear sets that likely require some fabrication is putting 2k into a bike worth  3.
And yiu still have the same frame and engine.
There were also a few upgrades in the way the motor fits in the frame and the engine was enlarged I think in 2022
No don’t get me wrong . EV7 special is high on my list .
It’s a nice commuting roadster priced easy .
Making it something it’s not is ruining it. And I stand by that. All you will get is the worst of both worlds

60’s triumph didn’t make other models .
So people had no choice . Originally triumph vertical twins ran hard tails from the factory so there was a precedent for bobbing and cut downs run whst you brung racing that eventually led to chopping .
Now if you were going to chop an EV7 , thst might be interesting . But an EV7 squid bike? Idk.

That’s not a bad price for such a low mileage v7.
Around here they are asking 4.5-5k with more miles.
I wonder if a guy could pick it up for $3.5k for a quick sale?

I think you'll like the Guzzi.
It was hard for me to get comfortable with a motorcycle w/o a kicker. Now I don't really miss it.
Fuel injection seems to survive a few months layoff better than carbs.
Enjoy your new bike.

My 79 doesn’t kick either.
And yes you don’t miss it.

Kinda like a clutch with 4 on the floor.

Got my vote.
But my daughter claims I need an intervention.
Be careful what you wish for . Believe me.
Unless you are Jay Leno or Fat2 you will be tripping over junk for years
3jappers for an almost new Guzzi?
Got to love that!
Oh I just saw this is an old thread lol

A few months? How about years! When I had my back worked on, my efi superglide sat for two years . Stsrte
Started right up . Grumbled for a few seconds and then was fine.

Very nice bike.

The one bike I never had running was MG
The latest EV 7 is super nice.
Maybe someday. Low mileage bikes rock!

Old thread updated.

I just picked it up.

Pennsylvania bike gonna be tagged in Wv.
Had to get a notary to sign off on a bill of sale, and the title, and since the guy had passed away WV also wants a death certificate.

I should have all the paperwork, we will see next week.

Congratulations Grado. That is awesome. I can't wait to here your review on the Gutzie.
I'm actually excited about it.

A MG is a bike I have the desire to try. That and a Triumph. Two brands I've never owned.

Good luck and enjoy. I hope it's a turn the key and push the button ride for you that brings you a perm-a-grin.

Thanks ff.
The guys place was north of Pittsburg.
Almost Lake Erie and Ohio territory.
Was an all day thing.

His son inherited everything.
He had a ton of short wave stuff. Just the receivers took up
a wall of shelves.  2 hand made cars.  One was a 3 wheeler, with a moto guzzi engine.  The back half had fins like an airplane.  The 2nd car looked kind of the same, but had 4 wheels and 4 engines. Both street legal. There is another Moto guzzi there, the chrome tank and red frame racer.  Reminded me of a Hodaka. There was a Triumph Thruxton.  I think it is a 2005. Both low hours. There was a red 3 wheeler, a Spider or something. 1 or 2 old BSA engines. Like the one in the bike you got from hacksaw.

Effin tools everywhere.

I was told before the kid moved back in, the whole house was better than most museums.

Now, half the upstairs has been cleared out,
with mats on the floor.

The son, a 20 something, told me he’s into yoga and Zen.

Whatever the hell that is.

Sounds like the dude made some cool schtuff. That car with 4 engines would be fun to play with, I bet.
I like the chrome tank racer. Used to see them for as low as $6-7k but they have gone up in value.

Well they weren’t much more than 6 new.
And the upgrades in frame and engine
In the last couple of years make those cafe models obsolete.

What you want is a nice very low mileage T-100

I am facing a similar issue as did grado
I found a low miles “02 883 . Dead stock plain xl. Beautiful in its simplicity. 3k miles 3k$.

Of course those bags would come  off !

lol.
He was a Viet Nam. Vet.
Agent orange got him in the end.
He was on govt disability for about 20 years.
That’s how he had the time and money to acquire and build the stuff he had.

Believe it, the government knew when he passed.
And the kid is doing everything by the book.
House and car titles to him, closing the Estate out,
all that matter knew.

That is a good looking bike.
And 3k, low miles, great price.

Throw a rolled up sleeping bag on the handlebars and I’ll meet you in Daytona this Spring.

Believe me, I’ve considered it.
I think a triumph is next on my list.

A friend has an 01 883 he’d sell for a couple grand but has around 50,000 miles on it.
His wife rode the heck out of it

$3k is a good price for a low mileage one.

How would the STATE know? Especially since u are registering in another state . Back
Date the title to before the guy died and sign it.
All that hassle I would have wanted some money off the price. Belive me I have bought lots of bikes from
Estates. The federals actually killed the guy with agent orange. Nobody owed the government a thing.

Well it’s good you bought the bike from Nerds ! So it’s a good bike. Hey made some major changes to the ev7 right about 2003. Hopefully you got the latest one.
I had the original ev7 1977. I should have kept it estate sale . My choice to keep was that or a 55 R50. I put 2k into the bmw then the rear bearing went.
The guy buying the guzi reassembled the body work . It had new paint wrapped in ancient Wall Street journal
And rode it fine. My screw up!
I been liking the new ev for some time but the local dealer got rid of Guzzi since parts were hard to get . There is a good one man Guzzi shop
In ct but it’s a 2hr round trip
And the ev7 really has nothing over a sportster performance wise so I just never got around to Guzzi
