2024 Daytona 200

I completed my flight reservations to Daytona this year.
Camping in the infield. $132, with a three-day ticket.

I have to fly to the midwest, so I tacked a Friday/Saturday/Sunday onto the front of the trip.
Riding had been in the mix.
Amtrak, too, as well as going by pickup.
But elder-care issues require me to get into Wisconsin to take care of business, and not just creep along on two-wheels through the warmth of the southern United States.

Even with the full plate you have it looks like you’re plugging on!

Honestly, i was feeling the weight of the trip, getting up in the dark and climbing into the aluminum tube.
But getting inside the track, figuring it all out… i’ve got a good feeling.
This trip is a first. Both a ‘get one under the belt,’ and also recon for the future. Someday I’m riding here.

Eraldo Ferracci caught my eye before the Pit Stop Challenge as he cane in to find a seat. As we were all leaving afterward, i saw he had been sitting next to Paola Ciabatti, former Sporting Director at Ducati. Now he’s running their MX team.
