That is the one to have.
Springer are way too much maintenance for my lazy ass.
But the Bad Boy is bad!

Funny u brought this up.
And yes, that is a good looking springer.
Very good really.

Visiting an old guys barn/garage last week, one of those guys that's pretty paranoid about
even taking and posting electronic pics, ("people can get the gps off a pic and next thing you know my stuff is gone.), we got to talking about the older stuff.

Rusted frames, old wheels, split cases, sprockets by the barrel full, he could remember
quite a lot of stuff.  Stuff you'd be hard pressed to find in any catalog or on any poster.
("That front end, damn near first year front brake. 1928. Off a Harley.)

But, a lot of the front ends, especially the springers, he had a hard time remembering what was what.
"There were so many people making them, and so many different styles heck, who could remember them all?"

And he had a lot of them, in the rafters, parts of piles, standing in corners.
The more I looked, the more I noticed.

Not wanting to push it we left it at that.

But hacks post brought that hour or so back, enough to get me a looking around, well, at springers.  Here's a few.

The 1948 Harley.  Last year they mainly used the springer front.
And one of the best looking bikes ever produced imo.

They weren't exclusive to the street.
Some may call the Greeves a leading link front end, but to me, they were springers.
Another thing almost exclusive to Greeves, the cast iron down tube frame.

Motocross legend Roger Decoster, as a youngster, was around when Greeves were
players.  After a slew of National/World Motocross Championships, he retired as a racer and became a very, very strong team manager for a few of the big players.
Some credit him with bringing the monoshock frame to the world scene, and starting the
long travel suspension races of the 70s and 80s.

When he was finally hired by Honda to build and run their American Motocross effort,
they pretty much gave him a blank check and said hire who you want, and we will build whatever you want.

Apparently, he couldn't completely leave those childhood memories behind, and it took almost 2 years before they had to tell him.......Roger, it might have worked back then for Greeves
in the 50s, but dude, that was then, and this is now lol!

'48 cannot be beat.

Zero/Kimura, I like the compressed nature of the design.

Yes, That it's. Yet another Bucket Bike. I dig the Bad Boy and hope to have one after I sell my blue stripped springer.
Price seems a little high for a non-stock version. Maybe pick it up for $7,500-$8,000 and search ebay for the stock seat, backrest, air cleaner, risers and bars and have a stock bike for around $10k.
Or just hit up FB Bad Boy page and pick up a stock low mileage one. Seems to be one pop up there every now and again.
