So, where will Jack go next?

I don't see Jack hanging up the leathers just yet.
Totally agree.
I bet he wouldn’t want to be in the MotoGP paddock (as a Bagger pilot) and not be a top-class rider.
The Miller family have expressed a desire to get home.

But…. with Razgatlıoğlo out of WSBK, Miller could find a home in WSBK or MotoAm SBK with those series’ easier schedules - America being most likely because they’ve seen Europe and this is a fun country for the 1%.

It happens -

https://forums.autosport.com/topic/70802-great-motorcycle-racers-who-also-excelled-in-cars/

But the skill-sets are different.

The feedback is alien, numb, and engenders a sense of disconnectedness.

Schwantz spoke of wanting to fight handling short-comings with body language….
30 years from pup-days racing on two wheels, and then one has learn to feel the road through through an entire car on twice the contact patches…
All against people who’ve been honing their auto racing skills for the same 30 years.

I could see Miller doing the bagger thing.
But one wonders would he take that kind of a pay cut?

I mean wouldn’t there be more money in WSB?

Money in WSBK.
A very good question.

Speaking with a MotoAm Superstock racer, there’s still just no way to get any ride apart from the top seats unless one brings cash with them.

Miller might not be out of the game just yet.
He has until the summer break to prove he’s worthy.
The injured Olivera contract is up at the end of the season but has an option for 2026.
Sounds like WSBK may be his next seat if GP doesn’t pan out.

Liberty Media acquires Dorna

I wonder how this changes the way some get to view the races.

Dorna boss Carmelo Ezpeleta has warned that Jorge Martin cannot switch to a rival MotoGP team for 2026 unless an agreement is reached with Aprilia or a court rules in the Spaniard’s favor.

Personally I think Martin should pay Aprilia back for each missed race if he pulls out before the end of 2026.
He raced the Aprilia’s All Stars race June 1st. Why not in MotoGP.

Cheesy move by Martin no matter how you look at it.
I bet he’s still cashing his checks.
Hasn’t produced a f/:$8.4 thing for Aprilla.

Lame to the first degree.

Agreed. I lost some respect for the guy.

There's many that think his chances of championships are over.
Sounds like he wants to make a move to Honda. That'll kill his chances. Kinda Like when Rossi jumped to Ducati back in 2011. I remember saying "What his he thinking?"
I guess he's just looking for the biggest payout and Honda has much deeper pockets. Maybe just be baiting Aprilia for more fish. I think Aprilia wants to spit him out.

I saw the change already at Assen when a Live Nation ‘concert-show-extravaganza’ broke out before and after the race.
I bet Liberty is going to stuff MotoGP full of that nascar-fox-superbowl bullshit hype-machine spectacle.

When Rossi retired I thought that it would hurt Dorna financially but I didn’t realize it would be that much.
Is another Rossi type persona going to help?
Where’s he gonna come from?
Does it need to be an Italian or would someone from Spain take that spot. It definitely wouldn’t be MM. Too many spectators don’t are for him. His pushing Rossi in the dirt took any chance of that away from long time watchers, no matter how many championships he takes.

I think Alex would have a better chance but not likely.
It’s a shame Penske isn’t in need of more money. Indy would be a great place for Motogp. Centralized and a lot of racing history.

I wonder if the 27 slower bikes will open the door for more tracks?

Dislocated shoulder reset at the track.
Probably without any pain meds.

I hate when that happens.

Quartararo did the same thing at the Netherlands.
He was laying in the gravel pointing to his shoulder asking the marshals to pop his shoulder back in.

Martin will stay with Aprilia through 2026.

https://www.motorsport.com/motogp/news/jorge-martin-gives-up-leaving-aprilia-motogp-team-how-it-happened/10741356/#:~:text=He%20will%20race%20with%20Aprilia,looks%20unlikely%20to%20involve%20Aprilia.

Sounds like he jumped the gun on his decision to leave Aprilia.
I wonder if Honda will still want him in 2027? Maybe a one year contract?

I’m not sure I would hire a guy that doesn’t honor his contract. But maybe they are that desperate for a winner.
Maybe the slower bikes will give Honda more of a chance.
I know the money pockets from Honda are tempting but all that money won’t buy a spot on the Champions Trophy.
