Ya that looks like a 75.
If it’s a 360, they only made 465 of them.
If it’s a 250, something like 900 were built.
The only way to really know the ccs is the serial numbers.

And unlike Bultaco, another Spanish brand,
the bulk of Montesa stayed in Spain, very few were shipped to the states.

Ya, a very rare bike here.
Many from what I understand were bought back in the 90s
and were shipped back to Spain.
Over there, thr’re a very sought after bike.

The 1974 “Still Better” model.
Note the standard shock layout.
The Montesa “bean tank”.  Being a fiberglass tank, many did not survive. Ditto the downswept exhaust.

This post was updated on .
The 75, the pic Walt put up, fiberglass tank,
downswept exhaust, biggest change is layer over shocks.
And

1976,

They moved the shocks up, upswept the exhaust, way more travel frontforks. Still a fiberglass tank.

The 80s.
Totally different color scheme.
Tanks went plastic.
More travel up front.

End of an era really.
Still a somewhat good looking bike,
but, imho, well……maybe just leave it at that

Thanks for the Montessa insight.
The Spanish era was a good one.

This M138 Bultaco catches my eye. Alpina's were developed for New England Enduro's and were hard to beat.
