Damn, I guess this is what being in first is like - having a huge target on your back 😳

Seriously, Oldiron and I share Vinny and the Suzuki connection (Mir has been good to me but Rins has come through for Oldiron). The big difference is that I have Binder and he has Quart. In any normal weekend you'd bet on Quart every freaking time to beat Binder like a drum. But this season has not been made from normal weekends. I think the last two races will be as surprising as the whole season has been. Which is why I am so happy that we all have pre-selected teams and I don't have to try to figure anything out week to week. This year, doing that I'd go insane! 😜
Haha...... it can be lonely at the top.

Congrats to Mad4 on the Binder hire.

I didn't realize the implications of his charge back from the penalty loop.

My only hope is that Yamaha now just builds whatever engine they want for power and longevity and whatever legal handhold they want on the cliff-face of the sport.

And I agree, this format is soooo relaxing.

Thank you, Grado!
If the penalty is one lap, for one event, for that rider, I guess there comes a time when you just gotta suck it up.  Build a fresh, fire breathing motor, practice on the ragged out ones, and finish it out on the strong motor.

Nice job Mad4. You got a good jump on the top step.
Both you and Oldiron were wise to hire the zooks this season. I sure didn’t think they would of surpassed the Yamahas.
Makes me think next season we will see some Zook and MM battles going on.

Thanks, Fat2. I needed the points as it turned out since Team Mad has qualified poorly for this Sunday, although it's good to see a little fire in Binder nudge him up the order a bit. I will be hoping all three of my guys stay upright. By the way, once Mir gets in a podium position - assuming he does - I suspect he won't push harder, because a podium is all he needs to clinch the championship.
Good luck to you and all.

Thoughts on 13.........

First off congrats to Suzuki and Morbidelli.👍
20 years is a long time.

As far as the Cyclevisor.com league goes,
Mad4, in first place, has another good day. He increases his lead over late charger Oldiron by 7 points.
With a bit over 60 points possible per team, per round, the fight for the overall league winner is not over.
It’s between Oldiron and Mad4.

Spies lives and mg have a day they would like to forget.

Quartanaro hurts fat2, mg, and Spieslives big time with his zippo points for the event.

HighPoint team for the event goes to Team Allred.
His 28 points vaults him from last into 4th place.

Something to think about if you are the top 2 guys in this contest at the moment.

Thanks to Miller I can bathe in the glory of being the high scorer this week! (yee-haw!)

With one race remaining Mad4 is uncatchable for me, but, if my math is correct, OldIron has a slim chance, albeit very slim!

Ya, good on Miller for trying for the win.  That was exciting.
Kinda feel for Nakigami.  He's been trying.

Was a bit weird, but cool, to hear them mention Kenny Junior, the American, as the last to win a Championship for Zook.  It's like we, as a country, don't exist over there at times.

Nice job Mad4. You’ve got at least one fingerprint on the trophy already with Oldiron not quite close enough to get a whiff of your expanding gas’s.
Your pit board is pulled and at rest before I even come through.

If Team 2fat keeps playing this way Team Allread will be passing me at turn one on the 22nd.

You guys will have to stand around for the celebrations,  podium photos and sticky champagne spray while Team Motogrady, Spieslives and 2fat will be enjoying ice cold whiskey shots in the garage. Ha!

I am lucky that Mir proved so consistent, but I've been even luckier that Quart and Dovi have sucked so unexpectedly badly in the second half.  Who could have predicted that?
Certainly not me, Quart and Dovi made up 66% of my team, and the other 33% got the Covid virus!!!!

Here's my only prediction for next weekend: Cal Crutchlow will do better than usual thanks to his track knowledge (it might have faded over the years, but I think he'll come up to speed more quickly). There's one very bumpy turn in particular that will sort the field out - I think it's turn 5. You come into that corner too hard on the brakes or off the line a little and down you go.
Wow. Now here we have a team manager (owner? what are we?) who knows his stuff. Already a feel for the pitfalls of the course.
Props.

Team Mad chokes, but limps over the line with enough points in the bank to take the title. Team Allred has a great day. Thanks Motogrady, for an entertaining league. I can't wait for next season.
Ditto here, the League has been an excellent participation feature, and a necessary inclusion for next year!
