Wel that’s a good looking trike . I like the color . It’s not baggaged out.
But I can’t deal with the fairing . I don’t want radios or any of whatever electronic crap they give .
Ruins the look . You were talking about knees. In the breeze? For what I miss is the wind on my whole body . Wind in what’s left of my hair.
Really that’s what I miss. Unless I was going to sturgis lol.
Even a convertible is no good. Maybe a jeep that you can put the windshield down might work . But I really only want to crack a throttle and blast thru the evening air. I want to hammer a straight away . I miss it bad. Talking about an H1 before. lol. I never got over thst shit . Doesn’t matter how fast. When you dont do it , and for decades it was  just second nature, it really sux.
I haven’t given up yet. So we will see.

Thanks. I'm starting to warmup to it. Kinda nice just getting on, pop it in reverse, out of the garage and off we go. My hips like it better. All my bones do. 30 years of Prednisone have taken its toll.

Idk . Well I do on past injections they work really well. We will see on this one.  Trouble is they don’t last forever . I have another one scheduled for my back . But if this knee holds up I am going to try riding a small bike to get my confidence up. Then get my /2 out.

Your trike just seems too big.
I am sure it has plenty of power and the rear drive line is much improved. I can’t justify the money . I don’t have the room ? I don’t have the lifespan to pay it off and I would have to see how resale goes.
I would rather help my kid with her undergrad and graduate plans . I do want to sell outta here if I could find a place to go . But my wife needs to retire .
Reverse is nice . lol. But I just can’t deal with that fairing . I mean where does one draw the line? It’s like a 3 wheeled car to me. I just don’t see getting the use out of it I should for the money , but idk . Winter sucks but maybe it would be nice to have my wife aboard sgsin .i would have to remove my hearing aids though  . Which nix the radio lol

I thought about the cost and just how much use I'll get out of it. If I would have had to fork out a loan for the whole thing I probably would not have done it but since my Low Rider was owned free and clear and still new it took a big chunk out of it.
Plus the wife keeps asking what did I work all these years for? It's not like I'm going to be traveling.
Might as well do what I enjoy while I can.

back to the trike, there was one 2 weeks ago on our ride.
Clean bike, at lunch we all talked about it over pepperoni pizzas.

I was shocked at the speed he carried.

I’ll tell you right now, especially on the big sweeping turns,
he hauled ass.  I couldn’t hang with him there.  And he wasn’t even leaning into anything.  He just sat there, straight up, smooth as silk.
I really thought he was gonna just flip it once or twice.

I asked him about it at the break and he said no leaning.
Said he knows his limits and mostly stays there.

Rock steady I think he called it.

So I went to a combo bike dealer to look at a bunch of different small bikes to see one I can put on a rack on the back of my jeep
Unfortunately, I can’t get my leg over ones I like. so with Fst2 trport in mind, I told myself all right let’s go look at their trikes online. Turned out to be a total waste of my time. The web site sucks. Busy and confusing . And it’s the same ol shit! Call for a price. Nonfuvking way. I know the game . “This is miss idiot at FU HD . The sales manager is currently unavailable so I’ll have to get a hold of him to find the price. But you can stop up and take a look at it and I’m sure we can help you out.”  And my answering machine rings for the next 2 or more months. “ this is miss  idiot from FU HD …”
And it’s every dealership now. They all use the same crap web site shit.

After listening with much interest fat2 describing the trike rear suspension improvements I find out HD no longer offers the trikes without a fairing!
What the hell! ???
I don’t want a bunch of garbage hanging off the front of my bike! I want to be in the wind! I don’t want all that sound system and electronic crap. I can’t stand the shark nose fairing . The bat wings come on super laden tour pack barges . If they were real removable bat wings then maybe. But they are not!
Horribly expense . Ok I have worked and paid my dues and deserve a ride I can deal with. These don’t work. Not for me. Once again Harley-Davidson stiffs me. Buying Harley’s since 1979. Must be I am too old to be approved for credit.

Heading to can am dealer in the morning .  
I could put a side car on the /2 but my ol pal (rip) missing a leg would never bring his rig into my weird driveway . That’s why I sold the side cars I once had
 
My buddy is my age and rides jeep roads up near the ct river. He rides Chinese shit but he is very arthritic and on small pension . He says the Ryker is great on those Jeep roads . The 600cc model is 10k and is not horrible looking

I went into bmw a couple years ago with 10k in cash they had to count lol
I still may try riding the.bmw. It’s low enuff with the Corbin seat . I just don’t  know if I can kick it thru . And I don’t really trust my balance.

Heck, a third of that is a lot of money to me.

A friend of mine has one of those Rykers and loves it.
She’s a little thing. Probably weighs 100 pounds wet.
She got to where she couldn’t hold up 2 wheelers.
She doesn’t haul passengers so I couldn’t give you any help on the 2 up.
I’m sure it could handle two people. There are aftermarket seat and peg kits with a folding backrest.
It looks like it would be good for running around town and short runs but not a tour.

Seems like a lot of bike for the price.
Like trikes I see a lot of low mileage ones on marketplace.
Used low mileage ones go for $5-$7k.

This 2019 with the passenger kit with 3200 miles is listed at $5700 from a private seller.

Well there are 600 and 90Occ models. They look the same.
I asked the sales dude if they had demonstrator and he said no.
But we shall see. Their touring rig is the Spyder. Too big and too pricey.  I have no desire to tour.
But I would jump at a used 6k one. I just font see them around here for sale.

Hard to make that kind of jump without test riding one.
That is one of Harley's big advantage, they will let you test ride anything.
Not to many other's will allow this.

Back in 03 I was on the hunt for a new bike. I was looking at either a Fatboy or a Kawasaki Vulcan. I was really leaning towards the Kaw mainly because of price. The Fatboy was 2x's the price because HD was in it's heyday. Bikes were going for a premium.
I was able to test ride ride a Fatboy, no problem. Trying to find a Kaw dealer that would let me test ride a bike was near impossible.
It's still the same now.

Buying . With these can ams I don’t.
There was a MCSF class for these a year or so ago and one was to get credit on a new trike .
But the closest dealer folded so I didn’t bother
