Cruising through the Badlands. A buddy snapped the pic. I'm thinking 2008 or so.
Good times.

Hacksaw banning people. That would be ironic.

After the ban from CW I figured you wouldn't. It's just not your style.

That whole banning thing was just plain stupid. Hard to believe people took stuff so series. I was never banned from anything but I did get a finger shanking once when I told Hond919 to F.O., JTFU or something like that.
I think he's held that against me every since.

Nah he doesn’t.
Unless you are really Monkeyshines.
You have to take the history of CW into consideration .
It started as an AOL thing .
When it became CWForums it was the Wild West . No registration . I used to have a shirt the Old Road Toad had made up . The CW  Somebodies. I wish I could recall .
When it went to registration and moderators many of us from the early days weren’t of mind to conform. Plus the different moderators over the years had different rules. I can’t recall them all . But the tri mods of the darthvaders and darthette era were fine considering . Later that azz klown from the west coast , I can’t recall his name. I think he is still involved somewhere with moto “journalism “
But he was an azxhole !
I think we had another guy , maybe with a Korean name that was fine.
The early days were great . That’s when dj called me hacksaw for boasting about cutting off mufflers on stock bikes . Rip Doyle!
He also was the cause of the funniest thing ever on CW Forums. His handle showed as djslx . Doyle junior and slx was the model of his jet ski . Cloon called him DJ slacks and started posting pictures out of the Sears men’s  catalog and Hagger ads. I am laughing so hard right now I can barely type.
It was a great time on CW. Golden Age of forums.

Happiness is fresh pavement on a well banked curve on a fun well setup bike.

When out around 7:00 this morning before the roads got busy and discovered that MODOT just laid fresh pavement on one of my favorite local backroads. 15 miles of beautiful twisty black ribbon and not a car around to mess with my mojo.
Total bliss.
Looks like Little Tavern Road & Hwy T?

Hwy DD heading to Bixby & Hwy 89 from Hwy 100 in Chamios to Hwy 28 in Belle has fresh asphalt

Little Tavern.  Gone but not forgotten.

They were an East Coast thing.
Small, buy em by the bag, hamburgers that were great when you were out and about.  25 cents apiece.

That was kind of the start of the internet/forums.
In the beginning, I was a lurker.
It was just too off the wall, at times too aggressive for me.

That place in the beginning was almost scary.

Yup, you are correct.

Thanks for the tips. It's been a minute since I've been down 89, The whole area really. I lot of decent loops to take out there. I need to get that way again before the evil white crap hits us and the plow trucks tear it up again.

Sounds sort of like a White Castle, all though they are everywhere. They used to be a quick cheap gut filler after a night at the bar. Now at a buck a piece not so cheap. But what is anymore.

Not heard that name in a while. He used to lurk here when the site first started.
I met up with him a couple times when in the Milwaukee area. Nice guy.

I made this during one of the election periods as a joke.

I keep 2 dozen of White Castle burgers in the fridge.
Had 4 of them for dinner last week.
1 minute in the microwave, Cole slaw, honey barbecue chips and a Budweiser, on a paper plate, no dishes to wash.  10 minutes you’re done.

Hard to get any better.
