I like it. That’s good caretaking.
The sport needs a functioning Yamaha and a thinning of the Ducati hordes.

Sunstrike crashes in FP2.

That’s a new word for me, but I’ve experienced the phenomenon at Thunderhill in Novembers previous.

I never heard the words put together but have had it happen to me. I just called it “a glare”.

Looks like VR46 will get Fabio di Giannantonio. They originally  wanted Fermin Aldeguer from Moto2 but Vermin’s team owner was going to charge VR46 millions to take him.

Ducal wants Fermin and since VR46 is going to Yamaha in 2024 they would of lost him.

Satellite Aprilia team principal Razali is bowing out of MOTOGP.
Looks like American company Trackhouse is stepping in.
Trackhouse is also involved with NASCAR.

Re: Racing

Maybe the business owner/operators here can expand on the structure of this situation.

Was it as simple as Razali spent his money to lease equipment and technicians from a factory, arrange sponsorship as best as possible to cover costs/riders, live the dream, and now walks away - with Aprilia/Dorna bringing in another entity who wants to live the dream, or hope to find a financial edge and turn a profit.

That’s how this works?

Very weird - Is this more of a "you can't fire me, I quit!" situation ?

I'd transfer Miller,
Aleix,
Mir,
Morbidelli,
and Nakagami,
to WSBK.

Zarco and Olivera would have another season on the bubble.

I guess Dorna is keeping mum and saving it for the lawyers to spew.
Definitely sounds like some shady going’s on from Crypto.

Is there enough Moto2 riders ready for this?
I definitely agree with you on Nakagami. I’ve been struggling trying to figure out why he’s not been sent home for quite some time. Token Japanese rider maybe?

Watching Valencia morning test. Honda brought in enough engineers that you would think they were getting ready to film a Godzilla movie.
You could see them walking around peaking at the European competition.

This is Marc right after removing his helmet after just seven laps.

Happy happy boy.

The Honda guys must be sweating bullets.

Do they still do the Hari Kari thing over in Japan?

I see MM back on some Cyclevisor MOTOGP Leagues next year. I watched all of the morning test and and he came in fourth behind guys that were on bikes they were familiar with.

Personally I think it's Honda's plan to bring MM back with some of the Duc knowledge.

Re: Racing

Honda certainly seemed to leave up as many bridges as possible for MM, but i bet they continue to have faith in their engineering prowess and process.

Maybe their budget couldn’t support a full redevelopment effort with MM.

Their lineup reinforces my belief in a strategic push by HRC.

Nakagami - 31. a true constant. Any changes in performance will be measurable.

Zarco - 33 years-old. Seasoned, and full of magic smoke from many machines. Provides reference assessment.

Mir - at 26, younger than Zarco, but a former champion who worked with the crew chief, Ken Kawauchi to reach the 2020 title. Davide Brivio is rumored to be inbound, as well.

Marini - also 26. Tight with Brivio, and of these journeymen with the least number of years in the top-class. Perhaps the most flexible going forward.
