ever since we rode the Dragon with doyle, rev.shirt?  and that bunch Terry always professed we were brothers in arms so to speak.
we had many discussions about the old ways like setting points with a match book cover vs his battery of electronic gizmos.all fun.
then once when i was allowed back into CW , he voiced the opinion that anyone banned should stay banned.
i would like to think i misunderstood him. but it was that it was.

Sorry mad , but you are wrong.
I never ever had anything but great , but intensive , conversations with terry.
I never threw any crap at him .
And I am just telling you what he said. He plainly stated anyone banned should stay banned.
I am not a liar.
Maybe he didn’t particularly mean me and maybe he was only thinking of Steve or somebody else.
But I was part of that conversation and was taken back by it . It is what it is.
Ask him to join this group . I would be more than happy to see him here. Thanks.

To get this section back on track .
I jumped a battery I had to my fatboy . Direct to the leads of the bike.
Great lights , horn blasted !
Wouldn’t spin the starter motor. I imagine the ground lead wasn’t of sufficient gauge
The good news is nothing smoking!
I ordered the same battery that was in there .
Made in USA glass mat.

The bearing closest to the bottom of the photo is the drive-side rear axle.
Darkest colored grease, and I felt some rumble when it was still in its spider hole.

Bearing sounds like it’s shot.  
I usually replace any bearing I can with one that’s sealed.
The dark color, ya, bad stuff got in there.

Man, that old craftsman screwdriver looks good.  
I don’t know how many I’ve had and lost over the years.  
Hats off for keeping track of yer stuff. 👍

Most everything nowadays………’specially tools, eh.

That screwdriver is one of my oldest tools.

It has great seniority in age and capability.

The rear wheel bearings are in, but one new seal is not correct.

And the front wheel bearings are also the wrong size. The bearing numbers are correct, but out of needed order. Must've been in the wrong bin, entered incorrectly when ordered, or I have someone else's bearings.

my whole house is built from craftsman stuff and the local brick yard.
both sears and the brickyard are long gone.
i still use craftsman screw  drivers and other tools if they are within reach.
