Thoughts.........

Seems nobody wins big this round.

With a total points available of 61, (1st 25, 2nd 20, 3rd 16), motogrady and mad4 tie this week with a meager 27 each.

Vinales 14th, after a giant fade from tires going away really hurt a lot of us, and kept the scores low.

Mad4 probably has the best day, bringing him to within 1 point of tying Fat2 for 3rd place in the series.

The dnf of Mir and Espargaro show, guys are going for it.

With 10 rounds left, and new circuits on the horizon, along with the current champion lurking on injury row, topped off with an engine shortage for some, this thing is anything but over,

MotoGrady -

You stated the game would follow MotoGP's points schedule, but I see numbers much higher than the 25 points the winner gets awarded.

Am I just too tired to figure it out?

Points counted are points awarded to each rider on your team.

At Brno, both myself and mad4 picked up 27 points.
I got them because my guys finished as follows.  Vinales, got 2 points because he finished 14th.
Zarco, also on my team finished 3rd, which pays 16 points. Quart, who finished 7th is awarded by Dorna 9 points.  This totals 27 points for my team at Brno.

Mad 4 matched me with 27 points, even tho he had one of his guys, Mir, crash out.
1st place is worth 25 points.  Which is what one of his riders did, Binder.  His second guy, Vinales
only produced a 14th, paying 2 points.  His 3rd guy got nothing because of his dnf. This totals 27 points for mad4 at Brno.

The best a team could do on any given weekend would be 61 points.   If someone gets all his riders on the box, 1st, 2nd and 3rd, that would total 61 points.  SpiesLives has come the closest to doing that.
Juarez 2, he pulled 53 points on that one.

Points are awarded in Motogp down to 15th place.   That list is on page 1.

Old iron pulled at Brno Vinales, 2 points.  Quart, 9 points.  And Rins, 13 with his 4th place.
2+9+13=24 points for this event.

I'm putting the rounds up first on the tally sheet at each event, so we can see and keep track of the totals.   Example, Fat2, Juarez 1 he got 30 points.  Juarez 2 he got 36.  Brno, 16. His total after Brno, 82 points.
This way, a guy should be able to go back and check his points at each event.

Just remember, the teams change, and points are awarded for who is riding for who, that week.

I am so sorry I caused you to type all that out.

I'm a little sleep deprived, and I saw the three round scores as my points per rider for this race and i need to go to bed.

Thank you.

No problem guy.

The genesis of this contest, you can see it in the other thread “anyone infor a motogp or MotoAmerica thread”

We could have gone a few ways.  I thought about it a lot.
The goal was to see what it would be like if you were a team owner or manager.

And I’m finding out it ain’t easy.
In real life, eh.

I mean, you have to make your picks before
the season starts.  You can’t, well, it’s rare, just can a guy because he’s not delivering. You can replace him if he can’t show up.
Or intentionally blows up motors. Or gets caught doing the drug thing.

You, as the owner/manager need to make all those calls.
Plus, know the bike, and it’s development. How to deal and make choices with the factory. And what the rule book says.

And then, with limited control over the riders, roll the dice.

The goal here, life in miniature.

Good job Grady.

Looks like the 2fat curse has touched Quartararo. I’m thinking maybe I should of stayed with MM.
The 9 points I gained this round with Quartararo will be easily covered by  Marquez if he makes it to Austria.

Team points as of Round 4

Fat2. 36+30+16+39=121
Oldiron.  25+25+24+14=88
Mg. 25+52+27+14=118
Spies. 24+53+12+16=105
Mad4. 23+31+27+39=120
Allred. 0+51+25+44=120

Team standings as of round 4

1/. Fat2. 121
2/. Allred. 120. Tied.
3/. Mad4. 120. Tied.
4/. Mg. 118
5/. SpiesLives. 105
6/.  Oldiron. 88

Thoughts.  Gotta look up how Motogp breaks a tie.  It's happened twice already. Wanna be ready for the final.
Allred, with zippo in round 1 has a good day and is right in it.
Oldiron gets burned by Rins, with a costly mistake that loses him 25 points
Fat 2 jumps in the lead, but not by much.
Spies lives has all his guys finish, but none place higher than 8th.
motogrady has a brief glimpse of leading, but the Zarco crash costs him.
Mad4 has a good day, putting him in a tie for 2nd.

Top points earner this week, Allred with 44.

Is there a way I can remotely kick Maverick's dumb ass? One more piss poor performance like this and I may request to replace him in my team.
I would think he was scared.

But,

The announcers said some riders went back out on worn fronts, as they had used up their tire allocation for the weekend.

Vinales had harsh words for the crew when he returned to the box.

Either he was pissed that the setup was wrong, or he was displaying his anger at not having the tires he wanted, or, he was just pissed at himself and projecting.

You had it going on until I think it was Rins lost the front and crashed out.

Hey Oldiron, just remember, tides come and go, and it's how you're doing at the end that counts.
