After 26 years Lin Jarvis is stepping down from team boss at the end of the season. Part of his reasoning is he’s tired of the traveling.

I can get that. Traveling is fun and interesting but being home can be the best thing in the world.

A new team boss has been selected but it’s a secret.

Pramac is considering moving to Yamaha to be a satellite team for the 2025 season.
Yamaha must be throwing some green backs abound.

That's the only real path, with - no doubt - Ducati wanting the VR46 presence and talent pipeline.

Good on Pramac to catch a rising Yamaha, or at least have a time tryin'.

Everything was sounding good until they got to the GPS Data. Sounds like copying some ones test to me.
2026 will be the year a guy wants to make track fastest lap. It may stick for a long time.

See, here's where your business acumen comes to the fore.

My eyes glossed over at the Holeshot device paragraph, and my mind was daydreaming about muffler-less two-stroke 500s with twin shocks.

You stayed focused.

Grand Prix racing just fully became a reality show, didn't it?

We might just be waiting for the body to hit the floor.

I can't believe Liberty owns GP, WSBK, F1(w/all support series), SiriusXM, and Live Nation/Ticketmaster.

Acumen: the ability to make good judgments and quick decisions.
I had to look that one up. My vocabulary pretty much peaked at 8th grade about the time I started dancing with Mary Jane on a regular basis until I picked up the word indubitably some how in high school. Then I was done. 😄
I’ll have to use acumen at one of our weekly management meetings. That will impress the guys.
Or just get looks of deers in headlights.

I’ve been known for making quick decisions. Just not always good ones. I just figure making a decision whether it’s right, wrong or indifferent is better than just sitting and waiting on the next guy.
It’s a struggle to get a lot of folks to just make a decision. No one wants to take responsibility.

Back to racing. I do like a lot of the changes that they are talking about. The bikes have become too independent IMO.
Yes, a good light rider tops it off but when a crash can cost a manufacturer $100,000’s of thousands of dollars, even if the rider is not hurt, it starts to put the sport out of reach for companies that might want to get i to it.

On the other hand by cutting the legs off of the MOTOGP bikes by taking out aero-wings, hole shot doohickies and such does it blurry the lines between WSBK and MOTOGP?
I don’t know. It will be interesting to see how the rules rule in 2027. Geez, are we that close already? Time is going faster than a Ducati in full throttle straight stretch.

I didn’t know anything about Liberty until the deal came up.  They sure are invested in the entertainment business. Entertainment is where big dollars are made. People like it and will pay heavily for it as long as the checks keep clearing. Let’s hope they do.

The Kazakhstan MOTOGP was canceled due to flooding but it looks like there will be a race there yet this year.
It will take place of the India MOTOGP that was slated for September due to the fact that the India promoter Fairstreet Sports has yet to pay the vendors or Dorna for last year’s race.
