I hub-center beast has a QA1 sticker on it.

Researching that led me to this thread about the weirdness of sidecar shocks and suspension:

^ That link ran me down a rabbit hole I probably shouldn't have gone down. Non-racing type high performance sidecars for sale. Not good for a bored fella always looking for something a little different.

Interesting, I had never heard of it until now.

A light switch
A ball point pen mechanism
The ratchet and pawl in a motorcycle kickstart

BTW, some useless trivia, did you know that not only is the standard electricity supply in the UK 240v, not 110v, but that the light switches there operate in the opposite direction. Down is on and up is off.

Beemer showed up today.

Thing went from Virginia to Oklahoma to Wisconsin and then to me in Missouri.

I’ve not had a chance to do anything with it it except make sure it turns over.

It’s spent it’s last couple years parked next to a pool table in a man cave.
Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get a chance to put some fuel in it and air in the knobby tires and take it for its first ride in a long time.

Thanks Mr. Iron.

After a two year nap it has awakened.

I put some fuel in it and it fired right up.
Idling a bit low but running she is.

Nice,
R60/7's are kinda scarce.
Old BMW guys say they are the smoothest of the airheads.
I agree.
ENJOY !
