His last post there was in 2018, but I know he was still rolling in 2019.

I'd give him a high five.

Funny stuff. I feel the same about the aero bits but this is a prototype class, and I guess these days tech is getting ugly when you can't hide it under bodywork ) or when it IS the bodywork).  All I ask is please don't carry this stuff over to street legal machines (make it an optional race kit if you want)
Solid points.

I'm impressed that a 260mph Harley can just casually idle around at walking speed.

Well……a few thoughts on a rather short, but item packed article.

Kawasaki to walk away if they feel outclassed would be a chump move.

Rea could have very well told Ferrachi yea, I know who I’m talking to. I’m talking to a guy that thinks he’s the only one to win a Championship.

As far as the Ducati being so strong it will embarrass the other teams no no no.

The other teams should press the issue of a certain bike being to strong.  And chop the rev limiter on the Ducati to 4000rpm if that’s what it takes to even the field.
Kawasaki lived with that Bullcrap rule when they were dominating.  Ducati should do the same.

Or, take the gloves off and do away with the rev limiters all together.

And be right back where they were.

But…….they can’t do that.  I mean, we’ve all seen what happens when a manufacturer builds a good bike, and puts a great team together, and hires a really good rider.
Kawasaki and Rea were so good the were winning so much it got boring.  Which kinda kills fan interest.
Which is what they, the promoters, dread.

That’s why they, the Japanese teams, need to get very vocal, very adamant, and demand the Ducati be choked
into the realm of fairness.

Because that’s what we all want, correct?

I think it's a little early to push the panic button. Sure, the V4R is the only V4 currently in WSBK (the only V of any kind), and it should have won in 2019 under Bautista if he hadn't started making mistakes. In 2020 and 2021 other riders couldn't dominate on the Ducati. It didn't start to do that until Bautista was back on last season. Rinaldi looked good at PI, but let's see where the season goes - if its only Alvaro who dominates then its not the bike alone that's winning. Remember all those years when Rea won and no other rider on the Kawasaki could do it? Might be the same for the V4.
Ya I’m with you mad.
I’m not concerned.
I’m confident the Rea Rule will be enforced
unilaterally, across all teams, insuring the close racing
the powers that be desire.

Well, im pretty sure im not concerned.
I mean, besides close racing, what else could possibly enter
the equation?

Since this racing is not something I pay a lot of attention to , so perhaps I shouldn’t even chime in , but…
I can’t help think that rules enforced close  racing sucks.
Isn’t this like participation trophies?
I mean if the best machines blow away the comp, what’s wrong with that?
What’s the inspiration for advancing development?
Racing Socialism . Terrible.

Well, it’s the promoters that want to sell tickets really.
Most everyone will tell you different, they want yo see the best fo the best they can.
But I don’t believe it.

Most want to see conflict.
It’s almost like WWE.
Guys running into each other, passing left and right, squeezing each other off.
Especially for the win.
The drama.  That’s what people pay to see.
Some guy leading the whole race and winning by
35 seconds gets boring for the masses.
People don’t pay to get bored.
They have better things to do.

And the promoters know this.
And the manufacturers have learned to kind of listen to the promoters.  To a point.
It’s like they need each other.
Who wins, is to them not the most important thing.

Selling tickets and selling bikes is their main goal.

as i said. socialism. it kills excellence in the name of kumbya racing.
i think one sell more when a great bike proves itself to be the great sought after.

as pointed out , pro wrestling out comes are faked.
and so it seems that can be applied here as well.
